Diesel-Electric Locomotive Workshop
In response to the introduction of diesel-powered rail vehicles after World War II, Taiwan Railway constructed the diesel-electric locomotive workshop under the U.S. aid, beginning in 1959 and completing it in 1962. This facility was dedicated to the maintenance, modification, and upgrading of diesel-electric locomotives and diesel railcars. Following the transformation of the Taipei Railway Workshop, a national historic site, into the Museum, the diesel-electric locomotive workshop was revitalized as one of its main exhibition halls.
The exhibition is organized around four core themes: Motive Power, Rolling Stock, Heritage and History, and Preservation and Restoration. Through these lenses, visitors explore the evolution of the Workshop, the advancement of railway technologies, and the broader story of Taiwan’s railway development.

Instruction
After completing your online ticket purchase and payment, please check your e-tickets (QR Code) in your email or by logging into your user account under "User Orders."The e-ticket (QR Code) purchased online allows multiple entries. Please present your e-ticket (QR Code) to be scanned at the designated entrance for admission to the exhibition hall.
Precaution
1. Online purchases are limited to 10 tickets per order.2. All tickets are not registered to a specific name. Please keep your tickets safe. Lost tickets or those already scanned/used will not be reissued.
3. Exhibition tickets purchased online are valid for 30 days (including the purchase date). Tickets bought on-site are valid only for the day of purchase.
4. Holders of discounted tickets must present valid identification to on-site staff for verification during ticket inspection.
5. In the event of unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to typhoons, earthquakes, heavy rain, etc.), the museum reserves the right to modify, terminate, or change the details of the event.
Refund Policy
1. If you purchased tickets online and haven't used them by the expiry date, you can cancel your order online without a processing fee. Here's how:A. Log in to the "Member Center." If you're a guest, click on "Guest Orders."
B. Go to the "My Orders" page.
C. Find the order you wish to cancel.
D. Click the "Cancel Reservation" button to complete the process.
2. Once the refund process begins, we'll notify your bank to process the credit reversal. Refunds are generally completed within 7 business days, but the actual time may vary depending on your bank's processing schedule.
3. If you want to change the number of tickets or alter your reservation date after purchasing, please cancel the entire order for a refund within the ticket's validity period, then make a new reservation.
4. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for any ticket once it has been scanned/used or has passed its validity period.
5. Tickets that are lost, damaged, burnt, have the admission stub torn off, or are otherwise unidentifiable will not be reissued, exchanged, or refunded.
